Steel Target vs Caliber

Rough Guideline:

• 4mm Mild Steel Targets (White & Yellow): Suitable for Airfire Calibers (Pellet – PCP – Air Rifles). Shoot at a minimum of 15 meters with Air Rifles Only!
• 6mm AR500 Targets (White & Blue): Suitable for Rimfire Calibers (.17 & .22). Shoot at minimum 25 meters with Rifles, and at minimum 10 meters with Handguns (.22, 9mm, 357, 40, 45).
• 10mm AR500 Targets (White & Red): Suitable for Centrefire Rifle Calibers: (223, 270, 30.06, 308, 300, 375). Shoot at a minimum of 100 Meters with Rifles. If Muzzle velocity exceeds 3000fps/900mps, place targets at 400 meters and further. Also suitable for Centrefire Handgun Calibers: (9mm, 357, 44, 45). Shoot at a minimum 10 meters.
