I submitted a paid firearm license application via the National Hunting and Shooting Association (NHSA) online portal on Monday. As of today, I have received no communication, confirmation of receipt, or update regarding the progress of my application.
The payment was successfully processed, and the amount has cleared from my account. However, I have not received any acknowledgmentâneither via email nor phoneâfrom NHSA. In an attempt to follow up, I contacted NHSA directly by phone. Unfortunately, the staff member I spoke to was unsure of where to direct my query or who could assist, leaving me with no clear resolution or next steps.
This lack of communication and transparency is concerning, particularly for a paid service. I believe itâs important for prospective applicants to be aware of the current turnaround delays and absence of proactive client service.
I hope NHSA will urgently improve its communication process and follow-through on paid applications going forward. At this stage, I am left uncertain about the status of my application, despite payment being made.
